We also provide post-editing of machine translation processed files on request. The company develops and strengthens its position on the global market because it focuses on what it knows best: localization services for Information Technologies, Videogame Industry, Medical Sciences and Marketing Communication. To ensure the best possible output, the company works with skilled local language professionals to provide authentic localization and cultural adaptation of the content so that a ‘whole culture’ experience is re-created for the user. We have an in-house Quality Assurance (QA) department to provide the highest output possible. Our company works closely with a strong base of translation specialists and reviewers to serve the tailored needs of our customers.

Novilinguists also provides software internationalization consulting through its partners, on request. Internationalization (sometimes shortened to "I18N , meaning "I - eighteen letters -N") is the process of designing and adjusting software products and services, still in the original language, prior to localization tasks, so that they can be easily adapted to specific local languages and cultures. A good internationalized product will result in cost savings at localization stage.

Internationalization processes may include:

  • enabling displaying of times and dates according to local custom
  • currency format as they are understood locally (not just adapting to the comma or decimal, but accommodating the local currency symbol)
  • sorting alphabetically as per local convention
  • creating illustrations for documents in which the text can easily be adapted to accommodate another language and allowing expansion room for this purpose
  • allowing space in user interfaces (for example, hardware labels, help pages, and online menus) for translation into languages that require more space
  • ensuring enough space is allocated in a brochure to allow insertion of different length languages
  • separating the linguistic elements from the graphic ones, or separating content from markup in a web application and software
  • using symbols with a global meaning
  • ensuring that the tools and product can support international character sets
  • providing data space for software applications so that messages can be translated from languages with single-byte character codes (such as English) into languages requiring multiple-byte character codes (such as Japanese)
